Cultures Around Us is a community-centered art initiative celebrating the diversity and creativity of Central Florida through the visual arts. The program is presented in partnership with United Arts of Central Florida and Artist with a Purpose Gallery, bringing together artists and community members to celebrate culture through creative expression.
The project invites artists to create new works that reflect their heritage, identity, and lived experiences. Through exhibitions, art demonstrations, and storytelling, Cultures Around Us builds cultural connections while showcasing the richness of the region’s communities. The initiative aims to make art accessible, inclusive, and representative of the voices that make Central Florida unique.
The project will culminate in a vibrant community celebration on May 3 in Leesburg, Florida, featuring artwork from participating artists, live demonstrations, cultural performances, and opportunities for the public to engage directly with artists and their creative processes.
This free, family-friendly community event is designed to bring people together through art, culture, and shared experiences. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore diverse artistic traditions while enjoying a welcoming environment that celebrates the many cultures that make our region special.
